Job Overview: The Level II Competent Registered Nurse will provide dedicated care to patients in a collaborative environment. You will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of care through research and evidence-based practices. As a Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care by utilizing your skills in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Key Responsibilities of a Level II Registered Nurse: Oversee nursing care, coordinating tasks with licensed and unlicensed personnel to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Engage patients and their families, collaborating with health team members in care planning and discharge processes. Effectively communicate and share care plans with healthcare team members. Assist leadership in defining and achieving standards of excellence in patient care. Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and participate in quality enhancement activities. Support the orientation and integration of new staff members into the team. Act as a resource for hospital policies and procedures for nursing and care team members. Participate in daily operational activities to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Provide valuable input to the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs and functioning. Contribute to the development of nursing and hospital policies through active participation in committees. Supervise and delegate tasks to qualified unlicensed personnel as needed. Assist with scheduling interventional procedures and provide pre-procedure instructions. Administer contrast agents/radiopharmaceuticals as per established guidelines, ensuring safety and compliance. Serve as a mentor and resource for peers regarding contrast/radiopharmaceutical administration. Conduct thorough physical assessments, identifying clinical issues and responding appropriately to emergencies. Embrace additional responsibilities as required. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with experience as a Registered Nurse. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required; 1 year of critical care experience is preferred. A valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state is mandatory. AHA BLS Provider CPR certification is required upon hire. AHA ACLS Provider certification is required within 60 days of hire.
