Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a clinically strong, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Surgical Oncology Outpatient team in the care of cancer surgery patients. This role is ideal for a nurse with a strong wound care background , excellent critical thinking skills , and a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
You'll work closely with several Medical Assistants and providers in a collaborative, patient-centered model of care. As the unit evolves, our goal is to transition the care team to be RN-led, providing an exciting opportunity for leadership and growth. Key Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care and support to post-surgical oncology patients in an outpatient setting
Perform wound care evaluations and support wound management plans in coordination with the surgical team
Monitor recovery, identify early complications, and provide detailed patient education
Triage patient needs and coordinate with providers to prioritize care appropriately
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record system
Foster a compassionate, inclusive environment focused on holistic patient care Minimum Qualifications: Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
BSN preferred
Licensure/Certification:
Active RN license with the Georgia Board of Nursing
Current BLS certification
Wound care certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in outpatient, oncology, surgical, or wound care settings
Strong background in wound evaluation and post-operative care is highly desirable
Skills & Attributes:
Ability to function independently and make sound clinical decisions
Effective communication, time management, and documentation skills
Passion for oncology care and a patient-first mindset

Pay Range $32.45 - $48.70
