Additional requirements include: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. ACLS is required Handle with Care Training within 90 days of employment. Department/Unit Summary Oversees departmental operations by developing goals and standards aligned with organizational, clinical, legal, and ethical requirements. Manages patient care delivery, staffing, budgeting, audits, and complaint resolution to meet performance and quality objectives. Leads hiring, training, and staff development while fostering a culture of professional growth. Ensures integration of evidence-based practices and monitors ER metrics to implement improvement strategies. Our Emergency Department (ED) is a 19-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse to patient ratio.
