Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Practice - Heritage Pediatrics & Internal Medicine Wren - Full-Ti at Prisma Health summary: Provides routine nursing care under physician supervision in an ambulatory pediatric and internal medicine setting. Assists with patient exams, manages appointments, documents patient data, and maintains medical supplies and equipment. Acts as a liaison between patients and physicians, ensuring smooth clinical operations and quality care delivery.

Job Summary Provides routine, standardized nursing care for patients under the supervision of the physician. 1) Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other activities related to direct patient care. 20% 2) Arranges for patient appointments for diagnostic testing, consults, referrals and admission to hospital. 10% 3) Monitors and maintains stock of medical supplies and proper functioning of equipment. 10% 4) Documents patient's vital statistics and other encounter data into patient chart and ensures that all required records are in the chart. Obtains brief medical history and chief complaint from patients. 15% 5) Calls in prescriptions for patients according to physician order. 10% 6) Prepares exam rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies and equipment. Cleans exam rooms between procedures and exams. 10% 7) Receives and returns clinically related telephone calls; screening and forwarding those requiring physician action. 10% 8) Completes medical/physical history forms and other related information for insurance companies. 10% 9) Informs physician of changes in schedule. 5% Supervisory/Management Responsibility N/A Minimum Requirements Associate's Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred. One year experience as a registered nurse. Required Licensure/Registrations/Certifications Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina In Lieu Of The Above Minimum Requirements In lieu of 1 year of registered nurse experience, will accept successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program.
