Position Overview As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care through a systematic nursing process that includes Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. You will collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, ensuring effective care plans and communication on all clinical matters. Key Responsibilities Uphold nursing standards while implementing hospital and nursing procedures. Supervise and evaluate the nursing care provided to patients, ensuring it meets their needs. Delegate tasks appropriately based on patient care requirements and staff capabilities. Document patient assessments, care plans, and pertinent information in compliance with nursing standards. Conduct patient assessments upon admission and ongoing re-evaluations as required. Formulate and update individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Assess pain and employ effective pain management techniques, educating patients and families accordingly. Modify care plans when necessary based on patient responses and daily evaluations. Administer medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols. Develop teaching plans tailored to patient and family needs and assess educational effectiveness. Assist physicians with examinations and medical procedures within your scope of practice. Handle emergency situations with confidence and expertise. Maintain clear communication with healthcare teams and report any significant changes in patient conditions. Participate in staff orientation and the training of new personnel. Manage medical equipment safely and effectively. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or an equivalent nursing qualification. Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state. Basic knowledge of medication administration processes. Strong organizational skills, capable of managing priorities in high-pressure environments. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Reliable attendance and participation in team activities.
