Description As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Care unit, you will take on the core responsibility for delivering comprehensive care to your assigned clients. Your role involves critical processes such as assessment, reassessment, establishing nursing diagnoses, and formulating effective written care plans to meet the diverse needs of patients. Key responsibilities include: Implementing care strategies and evaluating their effectiveness. Providing health education to patients and their families. Collaborating with your team to uphold the standards of nursing care and support the objectives of the facility. Supervising both licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel on the unit. Demonstrating flexibility in scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for continuity of care, including weekend and holiday shifts. Catering to the needs of a varied patient population while considering age-specific factors and medical diagnoses. Qualifications Minimum Education: Associate's degree Required Required Skills: Ability to function effectively in stressful situations. Excellent verbal communication skills to convey nursing theory and practices. Capacity to accept responsibility for providing, delegating, and coordinating care on your assigned units. Cognitive and practical aptitude to deliver appropriate nursing care tailored to patient demographics and conditions. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Licenses: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama. Additional Requirements: BLS/CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of employment.
