Position Overview As an Emergency Care Registered Nurse, you will be pivotal in managing direct and indirect patient care through a comprehensive nursing approach involving Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. You will collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop tailored nursing care plans and communicate vital changes in patient conditions to relevant healthcare providers. You will also actively participate in the discharge planning process. Key Responsibilities Uphold the standards of nursing care while implementing hospital policies and nursing protocols. Supervise, direct, and evaluate the care provided to patients. Delegate tasks effectively based on patient needs and team member capabilities. Thoroughly document patient assessments, care plans, and other essential information in compliance with nursing standards. Conduct initial patient assessments upon admission and regular reassessments as needed. Refer patients to other medical disciplines based on comprehensive evaluations. Formulate and continuously update nursing care plans, ensuring they are aligned with patient and family input. Evaluate pain management effectively and provide education to patients and families regarding pain management techniques. Adjust care plans based on patient responses and daily evaluate the overall efficacy of care strategies. Administer medications adhering to the five rights of medication safety to minimize errors. Create tailored teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs and gauge the success of that education. Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and special procedures within your scope of practice. Treat all patients and families with utmost respect and attentiveness to their psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs. Communicate proficiently with management, peers, and physicians to maintain high-quality patient care. Participate actively in the orientation and training of new staff members. Operate medical equipment safely and competently. Expectations and Skills Expertise in medication management relevant to patients' ages and clinical conditions. Proficient in basic computer operations. Adept at organizing tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and thriving under pressure. Strong ability to collaborate effectively within various departments. Must display good attendance and reliable work ethic. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $38.50 - $57.21/Hour. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse is a must. BCLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred. Minimum of six months' experience in a Medical/Surgical acute care setting is preferred.
