Position Summary: As a crucial member of our Cath Lab team, you will plan, coordinate, and implement care for adult patients undergoing procedures. Your expertise will ensure high-quality, efficient, and safe care aligned with our standards. You will demonstrate competence in various clinical skills in this fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in Cath Lab procedures as a circulator, scrub, or monitor. Prepare patients adequately for procedures by ensuring accurate information is available. Utilize critical judgment to assess patient needs and administer medications, particularly for critically ill patients. Ensure patient hemostasis using appropriate techniques and devices. Accurately enter patient orders and charges while verifying billing information. Caring for critically ill patients, successfully functioning independently in high-stress situations. Provide education to patients and families about procedures and expected outcomes. Support family members by escorting them within the hospital as needed. Conduct point-of-care testing in line with established procedures. Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent. Experience: No prior experience is necessary; we welcome new graduates! Physical Requirements: Effective communication skills are essential. Frequent standing and walking required. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 0-25 lbs regularly. Occasional lifting/moving patients and objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Manual dexterity for various clinical tasks. Licenses and Certifications: Required certifications include: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA). Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Illinois. Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from AHA is also required. Work Schedule: Day Shift, 32 hours per week.
