Summary:
Under the direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist clinicians in the diagnosis of injury and disease. This will include diagnostic imaging procedures involving, but not limited to general x-rays, CT, Dexa, and EKGs.
Shifts : Day Shift
Qualifications:
• Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
• Registered Technologist RT(R)
• State of Wisconsin Radiographer License
• BLS certification
• Must have training and experience sufficient to perform radiographic procedures independently. CT experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Positions patients and determine exposure factors based on height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required.
• Operates mobile radiologic equipment (portable & c-arm) in the operating room, emergency room, or at patient's bedside.
• Performs CT and understand the use of contrast agents.
• Performs EKG exams.
• Performs Dexa exams.
• Work independently.
• Deliver high quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating using AIDET.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Participates in quality & process improvement projects.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of radiologic scanning procedures and injections
• Knowledge and adherence to ALARA principles
• Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
• Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
• Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion.
• Skill in written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and on-time arrival to work as scheduled.

• Ability to recognize potential abnormalities, adjust process and communicate with radiologist as appropriate.
• Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
• Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next level.
• Ability to operate and adjust scanning and ancillary equipment.
