The Purchasing Manager will play a key role in shaping procurement strategy, improving systems, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing across multiple departments. The organization offers a dynamic and supportive environment where your contributions will directly impact service delivery and operational efficiency.The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in procurement and vendor management. They are experienced in sourcing, negotiating, and implementing purchasing systems, and are comfortable working cross-functionally with teams such as IT, facilities, transportation, and safety. A successful candidate will be resourceful, data-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Lead procurement planning and implementation across departments.Evaluate and improve purchasing and inventory systems.Manage vendor relationships and conduct performance reviews.Administer purchasing software and support system upgrades.Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing with organizational needs.Supervise purchasing staff and ensure compliance with procurement policies.Qualifications:2+ years of experience leading a purchasing/procurement function, preferably in a regulated or service-oriented environment.4+ years of sourcing experience including strategy development, supplier analysis, and contract negotiation.Demonstrated experience with procurement software systems.Strong analytical, project management, and negotiation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing platforms.Job Type: ContractStart Date: ASAPLocation: Hybrid in San Francisco, CAHours: Full-time, standard business hoursPay Rate: $55-$60/hour, depending on experienceBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
