Position: Project Scheduler Location: Long Island City, New York Projects: K-12 schools Role: In this role, you will be responsible for supporting preparation schedules using Primavera P6, load client’s resources and contractor’s cost at the activity level, schedule baseline and schedule updates preparation and reviews and guaranteeing project schedule specification adoption for our client by working closely with them throughout the entire project lifecycle. Responsibilities: Develop and set up WBS structure. Track, review, analyze and report on the Design Build Contractors progress against the baseline and updated schedules. Review and provide feedback on the Contractor provided monthly schedule updates and schedule narratives. Coordinate with the Design Build Contractors schedule team and the Client schedule team. Prepare detailed schedules for the assigned projects by integrating contractor’s schedules. Help prepare fully resource and cost loaded schedules by loading client’s resources and contractor’s cost. Prepare executive monthly reports for projects and programs. Analyze construction contractor baseline schedules and schedule updates. Perform gap analysis activities. Assist with variance analysis, time impact analysis and evaluation of construction schedule. Change order review and negotiations with the contractor. Deliver meeting minutes, status reports, and post-project evaluations as required. Position Requirements: Experience preparing program and project schedules using scheduling software. Experience performance reports by considering earned value, planned budget, actuals and accruals. Experience with critical path method analysis, schedule mitigation strategies, and evaluation of expected substantial completion. P6 software experience required. Prior experience working as a scheduler or project engineer in a fast paced, dynamic construction environment on major capital projects is beneficial. Education and Experience Four-year college degree is preferred. At least 10 years’ experience as a scheduler or project engineer responsible for schedule. Familiarity with P6 scheduling software. Advanced computer skills and must be fluent in Microsoft applications. Excellent organizational skills. A.G.
