Summary: The OPCS YPLP is a residential program for young parents age 14-21 and their child(ren). The Program director oversees all operations of the program and works within the program's team model, establishing open communication, support and accountability among coworkers. The Program director provides training, supervision and support to all staff interns and volunteers.

Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
Help recruit, manage, develop and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, training and performance management. Complete required paperwork in accordance with company policy.
Provide support, supervision and training to all staff
Endeavor to create a climate in which all staff are empowered, respected, treated with dignity.
Work closely with funders, partners and stake holders to ensure good relationships.
Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work.
Attend & participate in team meetings as requested and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other areas.
Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.
Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.
Monitor property condition and coordinate needed repairs with Maintenance to ensure appropriate upkeep of building.
Ensure 24/7 coverage of the program and always in staff ratio.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Supervisory experience of at least 3 years.
Sensitivity to low-income families of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work independently.
Flexibility in schedule.
Valid Driver’s license, reliable vehicle and evidence of insurability.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirement: Ability to lift 25lbs. Ability to walk up and down stairs.
Working Conditions:
Directly reports to Component Director.
Indirectly reports to:
Direct reports of this position are program, RWA and relief staff.
Indirect reports of this position are none.
Remote Work Option: Remote work is permissible in some positions at SMOC depending on the key functions and responsibilities. The Program Director, YPLP position is eligible to work from home 0-20% of the week in scheduling coordination with the department manager.
