SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a hands-on Production Manager for a client in the precision manufacturing industry located in Sparta, MI. This position oversees daily production activities, manages departmental coordinators, and ensures alignment between production, quality, sales, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership, with a focus on process improvement, team development, and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Train and develop production employees on quality standards and production processes.

Ensure production schedules align with customer needs and manufacturing planning.

Collaborate with Quality teams on preventive and corrective actions.

Lead, manage, and hold production teams accountable (LMA).

Facilitate process changes and continuous improvement efforts.

Act as liaison between customers, sales, engineering, and production departments.

Coordinate with engineering to maintain and improve production equipment.

Recommend staffing adjustments and hiring needs.

Monitor and recommend overtime needs to meet delivery deadlines.

Review coordinator performance and provide feedback.

Ensure calibration of measurement equipment prior to production use.

Maintain effective communication between management and production coordinators.

Ensure compliance with company quality policies and production standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing production leadership role.

Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.

Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of precision measurement tools.

Experience with surface grinders, hand grinders, and CNC grinders preferred.

Strong management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
