The basic P's of retail include but are not limited to: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, PurchasingProvide direction to all product sales specialists to ensure a highly attentive and accurate level of customer serviceComplete all product specialist certification coursesDemonstrate a thorough understanding of merchandise and installationEnsure the overall merchandising, pricing and organization of the departmentCommunicate standard operating procedure direction and changes to all associates in a timely mannerComplete the Industrial Truck (forklift) proficiency testing and certificationCommunicate inventory needs to managementDirect and assist the processing of merchandise to the showroom floorValidate all product placement and pricing within the departmentGreet every customer in a helpful and courteous mannerAssist customers with product questions and selectionsProcess customers at check-out using the point of sale (POS) systemProcess customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelinesPresent 'how-to' classes to customersFollow established cash, check and charge card acceptance proceduresAnswer the telephone according to accepted guidelinesStock and tag merchandise displays as requiredCreate price tags and merchandise signsWorking Conditions (travel, hours, environment)While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
