You know the truth isn't always obvious — it's buried in documents, hidden in timelines, or revealed through the right question at the right moment. At our premier defense law firm, we're looking for a seasoned Private Investigator to join our team. We need someone with a sharp mind, proven instincts, and the experience to turn data into an impactful strategy. If you've spent your career in law enforcement, federal investigations, or legal work, this role enables you to transition from routine fact-finding to high-level, case-building impact.
Why This Role Might Be Built for You:
* You see patterns in complexity and ask the questions no one else does.

* You don't just gather facts — you shape how a case is understood and won.
What You'll Be Doing / Job Responsibilities:
* Lead strategic investigations for complex defense cases.
* Locate and interview key witnesses; obtain credible, written statements that hold up in court.
* Analyze product records, purchase trails, maintenance logs, regulatory filings — whatever it takes to find the facts.
* Conduct post-incident site visits, documenting relevant conditions with a critical, detail-oriented eye.
* Build comprehensive timelines and identify inconsistencies, gaps, or alternative narratives.
* Collaborate closely with attorneys to contribute to defense strategy, deposition prep, and trial readiness.
* Write fact-based, litigation-ready reports that clearly present your findings.
What You Bring / Qualifications:
* Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, forensic science, law, or a related field is preferred.
* Experience : At least 10 years of investigative experience (e.g., law enforcement, military intelligence, federal agency, insurance, or legal field).
* Licensing & Training : Completion of specialized training in investigative techniques, evidence handling, and surveillance is essential. Additional certifications in cyber investigations or fraud detection are a plus.
* Skills :
* Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
* Proficiency in conducting thorough research and gathering evidence.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Skilled in interviews, statement collection, and report writing.
* Experience supporting civil litigation or legal teams in high-stakes cases.
* Comfortable with investigative tools, including surveillance equipment, digital forensics tools, mapping software, and cloud systems.
* Calm under pressure, organized, and relentless in the pursuit of truth.
Why Join Us:
* Work on high-stakes cases that directly influence trial outcomes.
* Collaborate with attorneys who respect your judgment and treat you as a valued partner.
* Competitive compensation, full benefits, and mileage reimbursement.
