Over time, the selected candidate will act as a primary contact in supporting the international Devices and Services business units and senior leadership by conducting industry research, valuation analyses, due diligence, creation of strategic recommendations, acquisition term sheet and contract negotiations, and both internal and external relationship building.Key Focus Areas IncludeIdentify appropriate opportunities that support Amazon's strategic priorities through interaction with senior business leaders, investment bankers, venture capitalists, and organic pipeline generationPartner with Amazon businesses to evaluate expansion and growth opportunitiesEvaluate the benefits of potential acquisitions and manage the process of building both internal and external consensusAct as a subject matter expert on valuation and deal structuringLead all pre-transaction diligence effortsEvaluate synergy opportunities and risks in potential transactionsNegotiate key legal documents and bring transactions over the finish lineWork with all cross-functional groups within Amazon from signing the term sheet to proper integrationEstablish the ongoing processes, skill sets, and strategy that will enable Amazon to continue to build out our corporate development competency, in the face of extremely fast growth and a rapidly changing industryKey job responsibilitiesIn Addition, This Corporate Development Leader Will Be An Independent Thinker Who Can Make Convincing, Data-based Arguments. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,200 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,100 / year in our highest geographic market.
