You will detect and investigate unusual situations/conditions and take required action to resolve various incidents/situations and requests additional support, if necessary. For GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Issuing citations for violations of the law; 2) Preparing reports and orders for dissemination to other law enforcement officials; 3) Protecting property, equipment, data, or materials; and 4) Arresting and detaining citizens who are in violation of the law. In lieu of the specialized experience listed above you may qualify for the below grade with education. For GS-05: Successful completion of 4 full years of study leading to a bachelor's degree in Police Science or a comparable degree program related to the work of the position OR Have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
