PL Account Manager / Customer Service Representative

Essential Responsibilities:
Assist on telephones and receive customers who walk into the office. Receive walk-in payments or process payments received via the telephone or received in the mail, record payments for reconciliation, upload premium payments and, if requested, make daily deposits of the premiums into our Premium Fund Trust Account. Receive and record changes from customer via email, text, telephone and walk-in and do change in real time in accordance with Procedures and suspend to appropriate person to check. Give changes not done in real time to appropriate person to Process all Changes to Personal Lines policies in accordance with Procedures. Receive and record changes from producers and Independent Strategic Members (ISMs) via change forms and give to appropriate person to process. If assigned, process changes to Personal Lines policies in accordance with Procedures. Assist with review all renewals in accordance with Procedures and communicate with insureds in accordance with our Procedures (give to appropriate person ones needing requoting). If assigned to do requoting of renewals, requote policies in accordance with Procedures and American Heritage policy standards. Call back customers with requoted policies at renewal and sell new policies. Assist with reviewing Inspection Reports received from carriers and then making the assignment of who will resolve the issues identified in the inspections. Assist with resolving (or coordinating with others to resolve) Inspection Reports and other carrier issues on Personal Lines policies. Receive and record information for new Personal Lines proposals and do quotes or give to appropriate person for quoting. Call back Customer with new business quotes and sell. Responsible for sale. If you issue a new Personal Lines policy, follow Procedures for creating policy in Hawksoft and assigning suspense to appropriate person to check. Assist with book rolls of Personal Lines books of business. Assist with receiving and recording claims information in accordance with Procedures and in consultation with management file claims notices. Assist with general office administration and customer service. Assist with any other administrative or customer service duties as requested from time to time.
In addition to the above responsibilities, assist with members of The Insurance Connection with the review, placement and servicing of PL business written through our AccessPlus program and mentor members on various aspects of business and relationship with The Insurance Connection.
Education Requirements:
None specified. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is helpful. There is an expectation of licensing as a property and casualty agent in the State of Ohio upon employment.
Experience:
None Specified. Equivalent business work experience is relevant and may be a substitute for actual insurance knowledge and experience.
Specific Knowledge:
Strong computer skills, including typing, is essential. A thorough appreciation of customer service techniques and sales environments is important. Also an appreciation of the insurance industry will be of great assistance.
