Description Physician Assistant (Psychiatry) - Stillwater, OK (New Grads Welcome!) Job Type: Full -Time Qualifications Education & Experience: ·Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program. ·New Grads Welcome! ·Possess valid Oklahoma licensure as a Physician's Assistant. ·Have at least two (2) years experience in treating patients with psychiatric disorders. ·An expectation of core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders. Knowledge and skills: ·Have a broad knowledge of psychopharmacology. ·Be able to perform psychiatric evaluations and mental health status examinations. ·Be able to assess a patient's physical conditions and make appropriate referrals for medical treatment. ·Have a working knowledge of disorders as outlined in DSM-IV (and subsequent additions/revisions) and the diagnosing and treating of such. ·Have a general knowledge of the community mental health system and awareness of local referral sources.
