We are seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. Position Summary: The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving residents mobility, strength, and overall function. The PTA plays a vital role in promoting residents' recovery and independence through compassionate care and evidence-based interventions. Key Responsibilities: Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist residents in performing exercises and activities designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities. Monitor residents progress during therapy sessions and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist. Educate residents and their families on exercises and techniques to continue therapy goals outside of sessions. Document therapy sessions, residents progress, and outcomes accurately and timely in compliance with regulatory and facility standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a cohesive approach to resident care. Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Colorado. Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-focused approach. Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation. Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
