This is primarily an inpatient role, but this role can cross train and pick up additional outpatient hours. We do require the occasional weekend (approximately 1 weekend a month).
Job Description:
In this role as a Physical Therapist (PT), you will be responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic and other physically related disorders requiring mobility training, strengthening, modalities, specialized manual therapy and neuromuscular reeducation. As a Physical Therapist you will also utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. While in this position you will assume personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.
Responsibilities: Identify and meet patients' goals and needs. Offer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients' motion and mobility. Reduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgery. Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques. Create fitness- and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients' specific needs. Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care, and proven interventions. Motivate patients during treatment to help them function optimally. Promote clients' healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Consult and practice with other health professionals. Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress.
