Position Title: Photographer Posting Number: STU341 VP Area: VP Student Affairs Division: Student Engagement Department: Student Engagement Student Supervisor: Hayden Jackson Work Study Required?: Yes Job Duties: About This Role: The Photographer for the Cardinals Activities Board (CAB) is responsible for capturing high-quality images that showcase the energy, creativity, and community spirit of CAB events. This role helps document student life, supports promotional efforts, and contributes to the visual storytelling of CABs mission across digital platforms. The Photographer will also collaborate with Lamar Universitys Marketing team and the University Press (UP) to ensure broader visibility and coverage of campus events. What Youll Do Position Responsibilities: Event Photography Attend and photograph CAB events, capturing key moments, student engagement, and event highlights. Ensure a variety of shots are taken, including candid, posed, and promotional images.
Content Contribution Provide edited photos for use in social media posts, flyers, digital signage, and other marketing materials. Collaborate with the Graphic Designer and Content Creators to align photography with overall branding and messaging. Visual Storytelling Help tell the story of CAB through compelling imagery that reflects the diversity and vibrancy of the student body. Suggest creative photo ideas or themes for upcoming events and campaigns. Photo Management Organize and archive photos in a shared drive or platform for easy access by the CAB team. Ensure timely delivery of edited photos after each event. Campus Collaboration Work with Lamar Universitys Marketing team and the University Press (UP) to share event photos and increase the visibility of student activities across campus media channels.
