Shift/Time Zone: Weekdays, 11:30 AM - 6:30 PM Central (30 hours/week with 1-hour lunch break)
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) is the frontline representative of the company, responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and ensuring specimens are prepared for lab testing. This role requires skillful, safe, and accurate specimen collection while maintaining professionalism, patient trust, and data confidentiality. The PSR I is vital in supporting diagnostic services and improving healthcare delivery through precision and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily specimen collection activities accurately and on time under the area supervisor's direction.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
Accurately maintain required records and documentation.
Explain procedures clearly to patients, ensuring a comfortable and confident experience.
Demonstrate leadership, confidentiality, and a commitment to process excellence.
Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
Required Experience: Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy or healthcare-related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Keyboard/data entry proficiency required.
Strong phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric draws.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Nice-to-Have Experience: One or more years of phlebotomy experience.
Customer service background in retail or service industries.
Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Phlebotomy certification (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington; preferred in other states).
