Job Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient rehabilitation treatment to adult patients.
- Manage medical care related to rehabilitation needs.
- Conduct patient rounds, typically seeing 3-6 patients per shift.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including 2 nurses and 1 CNA.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Physiatry or Internal Medicine with rehabilitation experience.
- Active medical license required.
- BLS Certification required.
- Preferred experience with rehabilitation units and specialized procedures like EMG and nerve conduction studies.
Working Hours
- Variable shifts between July and September covering identified gaps in physician staffing.
Skills
- Expertise in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in using Meditech EMR system.
- Strong skills in medical management, pain management, and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
- Experience with or preferred familiarity with mechanical and non-mechanical rehabilitation techniques.
