We are currently looking for a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This role offers a great opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our patients. You will collaborate with a team of attentive professionals committed to patient care and support our Patchogue, Brentwood, and Wyandanch sites. Key Responsibilities: Work alongside MDs, Psychiatrists, and LCSWs to consult on patient care via eCW and phone encounters. Manage medication and address behavioral health concerns effectively. Provide clinical care, perform psychiatric evaluations, and develop treatment plans to enhance patient support. Participate in case conferences, high-risk meetings, and treatment plan approvals. Ensure seamless transitions of care with external providers and multidisciplinary teams. Engage in crisis intervention as needed and document cases as required. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring their efficacy. Provide training and guidance to both professional and paraprofessional staff. Maintain awareness of patient development across all age groups and manage substance use disorders. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing, with current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry. Certifications in CPR and BLS. Strong diagnostic and treatment procedure knowledge and skills. Excellent collaboration skills and a focus on patient-centered care. Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
