Pay Rate: $28.50 per hour JOB SUMMARY As a Part-Time CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of containers. Interacting with customers and maintaining a positive rapport is essential in this role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism for loading and unloading containers. Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle and lift, logging any issues. Be flexible and accept additional deliveries as the business requires. Utilize a company handheld device for delivery verification and navigation purposes. Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane as needed. Ensure containers are cleaned and checked for presentation before delivery. Handle rental paperwork and payment coordination directly with customers. Maintain communication with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries or issues, and prepare necessary driver notes. Assist with repairs of containers and equipment in the field or at the storage center. Provide support for storage center functions when necessary. Keep the truck cab and exterior clean and organized. You may also be required to perform other duties as assigned. MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position typically reports to Management, with direct supervision from titles such as Market Manager or Territory Manager. There are no supervisory responsibilities over other employees. GENERAL BENEFITS Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL Class B License required (without air brake restriction). Must possess a current and valid driver license. Must comply with PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Minimum age of 21 years is required (insurance requirement). A valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or the ability to obtain a minimum of a 1-year certification (DOT requirement). Experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred. Basic math skills are necessary to perform required duties. Equivalent combinations of education, training, or experience will also be considered. Willingness to attend a required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
