Job Responsibilities :

FOOD PREPARATION:

Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and station needs (mise en place). Cook food items to order, following established recipes, cooking methods, and quality standards. Ensure proper cooking temperatures and presentation of all dishes. STATION MANAGEMENT: Set up and stock the assigned cooking station with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment before service. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift. Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to the kitchen manager or head chef. QUALITY CONTROL: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines Conduct regular temperature checks of food and equipment. Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients. Identify and discard any expired or spoiled food items. TEAM COLLABORATION: Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff, including prep cooks, dishwashers, and servers, to ensure smooth service. Work efficiently as part of a team to meet service demands. EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., grills, fryers, ovens, slicers). Clean and maintain kitchen equipment after use, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs. ADHERENCE TO STANDARDS: Follow all company policies and procedures. Continuously strive to improve cooking skills and knowledge.
