Overview Under general supervision, performs routine and less complex, semi-skilled tasks and duties assigned to classes in the Parks Worker series including maintenance and repair of parks, landscaped areas, street medians and related facilities; learns policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties; performs other related duties as required. Primary Responsibilities The  Parks Worker I  is the entrylevel class responsible for a wide variety of parks, landscape and grounds maintenance, construction and repair tasks.   This classification is distinguished from thenext higherclassification of Parks Worker II by the performance of less complex, semi-skilled tasks. Minimum Qualifications At least one (1) year of full time work experience in landscape maintenance A high school diploma or equivalent A valid California Class C driver's license, or comparable driver's license from another government entity

Application Package Review (Qualifying only): Only the most qualified applicants, based upon the information provided on the application will be invited to participate in the examination processes. In-Person Performance Exam: 100% weight value. Candidates must earn a score of 70% or higher to be considered for the eligibility list.
The City Manager, upon recommendation of the department head, will make the final selection and appointment from the established eligibility list.
