SUMMARY

This position is Seasonal and is assigned as needed; the shift schedule is subject to change with minimal notice. Keeneland Parking Associates shall receive adequate resources, and proper tools and training needed to perform job related tasks.

Position Description - Parking Associate (Part Time)

Directs, facilitates movement, and controls restricted and general parking during Race Meetings, Sales Auctions, and additional Special Events on Keeneland Grounds. Serves in a part-time employment capacity. Does not have authority to carry a firearm.

The “Parking Associate” role encompasses tasks during Race Meetings, Sales Auctions, Special Events, and additional activities throughout each calendar year to include, but not limited to, the following:

• Parking Facilitation
• Traffic Control & Direction
• Valet Traffic Control
• Horse Crossing Guard Assignment
• Golf Cart Operator (to & from designated handicap parking areas)

Examples of Duties:

Provides parking direction to our patrons during racing, sales and general events. Assists patrons with mobility restrictions in moving from the parking areas to the admissions gates and provides general information to our patrons attending events.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have the ability to read, understand, and communicate with others. This position may require the employee to be on their feet in various environments for extended periods.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess Kentucky Driver’s License, and be able to attain a Kentucky Horse Racing License, (Keeneland shall provide). Golf cart operators are required, per Keeneland policy, to possess a valid Kentucky Driver’s License.
