Responsibilities Assist the teacher in group instruction prescribed by the teacher, provide individual instruction, and demonstrate various instructional activities Correct students' work while in progress, keep students on task and report student progress to the teacher Prepare visual aids and duplicate materials, organize materials at the end of each day, distribute and collect instructional materials Serve as a proctor during testing, assist in grading student's papers as instructed by the teacher File data according to regulatory requirements Supervise students in the classroom and other locations Ensure compliance with laws, codes, and regulations related to services Submit reports as required Maintain neat, accurate, current, and complete records and reports in a standardized company format
Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Illinois Paraprofessional Certification Experience working with children with special needs (preferred) Experience working in a classroom setting (preferred)
