PARAPROFESSIONAL (Part or Full Time)

We are looking for a compassionate Paraprofessional to work one on one with our special needs students in a Catholic faith filled environment. Open to part or full time interest.

Come work in the joyfully Catholic environment of St. Ignatius Catholic School in Kaukauna, WI. We are a growing PK-12 classical school with a total of 265 students striving to love Jesus. We have nearly doubled our size in just 3 years. In 2021 we expanded our school to include a Chesterton Academy High School. Grades 3-12 attend daily Mass, and have regular opportunities to receive the sacraments.

We are located in the heart of the Fox Valley, with close proximity to Appleton and Green Bay. We are only a short drive away from the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion, the only approved Marian apparition site in the United States.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Paraprofessional will comply with whatever duties the Special Education Teacher assigns, which may include but are not limited to: Help to create a joyful, peaceful, and faith-filled atmosphere where all can learn/grow

Assist with the implementation of accommodations and modifications

Collaborate and communicate with Special Education Teachers for students you are servicing

Help collect data for individual student goals

Care for a student's social, emotional, and physical well being

Be active in affirming of student's abilities

Daily duties such as assisting a student with special needs with routines, transitions, academic work, intervention time, specials and toileting throughout the day

Help child with special needs in arrival organization and dressing/organizing for dismissal

Playground and lunch supervision when needed for a child with special needs

Chaperone field trips for a child with special needs

DESIRED SKILLS Ability to motivate and work with children

Emotional stability and good health

Adaptability

Sensitivity and patience with each child

Previous experience/training in working with individuals with special needs

Ability to create a courteous, disciplined and instructional environment

QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent

Background in a Catholic school environment

Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite

Diocese of Green Bay Office of Safe Environment requirements including VIRTUS training and background check
