This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility serving Waterloo and surrounding communities. The facility features a comprehensive ENT department with modern equipment, including full-time audiology services on-site. The medical center utilizes Epic EMR and provides excellent nursing and ancillary staff support with a 2:1 ratio for providers.

Opportunity: Board Certified - ENT

This is an excellent locum tenens opportunity for an experienced ENT physician to join a respected medical practice. The position requires at least 2 weeks of availability per month starting August 18, 2025, with the potential for ongoing assignments.

Job Details:

• Provide clinical care 3-5 days per week, Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
• Perform surgical procedures on Fridays
• Provide 24/7 call coverage ideally for 2 consecutive weeks, including coverage for established patients, ED, and consults
• Manage inpatient responsibilities at the medical center
• Serve a diverse patient population including adults from both metropolitan and rural areas
• Work in a well-equipped clinical environment with 3+ exam rooms plus procedure rooms
• Access to on-site medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services
• Typical daily patient volume of 15-25 patients with 15-minute appointment durations
• Perform essential ENT procedures including:
  • Basic ENT clinic care
  • Basic surgeries such as tubes and tonsils
  • Nasopharyngeal scopes
  • Biopsies
  • Direct laryngoscopies
  • Ear cleaning and post-operative care
• Requirements include:
  • Board Certification in Otolaryngology
  • Active Iowa license or IMLC eligibility
  • ENT Fellowship training
  • 5+ years of experience preferred
  • Clean malpractice history
