SUMMARY The position will be an Optometrist providing direct and comprehensive primary, preventive, and therapeutic optometric care to individuals across the spectrum of age and development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Doctor of Optometry Degree (OD) from a school accredited by the Accreditation Council of Optometric Association (ACOE)

Knowledge of information and techniques needed to diagnose diseases, and deformities pertaining to optics, eyes, and vision. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventative healthcare measures.
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Skill in tactful communication, judgment, and persuasiveness.
Skill in the use of all forms of topical ophthalmic diagnostic and therapeutic pharmacological agents to evaluate, diagnose, and manage disorders of the visual and ocular system.
Ability to competently diagnose and manage a patient caseload as necessary to accommodate patients.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships interdepartmentally as well as other agencies and the public.
Proficient in computer programs and navigating a computer effectively
Utilizes advanced optometric procedures and instrumentation to diagnose, treat, and manage ocular disorders and diseases.
Orders diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies.
Determines proper remedial alternative, discusses, and interprets findings with the patient.
Provides patient and family education regarding ocular health issues.
Evaluates, manages, and triages emergent non-surgical eye conditions.
Collaborates with other optometrists, ophthalmologists, physicians, technicians, and administrators to facilitate care to meet common healthcare goals.
Ensures preparation and completion of comprehensive medical records in a timely appropriate manner in compliance with applicable guidelines.
Maintains clinical competence through continuing medical education, self-study, review of professional journals, and proficiency training.
Provides emergency pm-call consultation and care as directed.
Uphold all principles of confidentiality, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Interact in an honest, trustworthy, and dependable manner with patients, employees, and vendors.
Cooperates and effectively communicates with all staff members and physicians about patient matters.
Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Meets all medical qualifications of an Optometrist.

OD First Call, No Hospital call
Services include Cornea, LASIK, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma management and Surgery, Medical Retina, Eye Lid Surgery, Optometry, Dry Eye, and Optical
Currently Expanding locations and Physicians throughout Mid-Florida
3 Physician Owners, with a Partnership Track for New Ophthalmologists based on an existing formula as well as personal production, time, and owner's discretion
