Advertised Job Summary: The Department of Drug Discovery and Biomedical Sciences (DDBS) in the College of Pharmacy (COP) at the University of South Carolina (USC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, starting in Fall 2025. An appointment at a higher rank may be considered for exceptional candidates.Individuals conducting research in biomedical sciences with potential synergy to DDBS research foci in cancer and neuroscience are encouraged to apply.Successful candidates are expected to establish and sustain an independent and competitive research program, secure external funding, publish impactful research, and contribute to teaching excellence in the professional (PharmD) and graduate programs. Candidates above the rank of assistant professor must have an established record of sustained productivity and extramural funding. Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary, startup funds, and access to DDBSs specialized cores in functional genomics, microscopy/flow cytometry, and drug design/synthesis. Required Education and Experience: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent terminal degree is required.
