This cancer center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing comprehensive cancer care with a focus on breast cancer treatment. The center is supported by the Penn State Health Cancer Service Line and collaborates closely with physician teams at Hershey Medical Center and St. Joseph Medical Center, ensuring patients receive integrated, high-quality care.

Opportunity: Certified - Radiation Oncology

This locum tenens position offers the chance to work with advanced radiation oncology technologies and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across the Penn State Health system. The facility uses Cerner and ARIA systems for patient management.

Job Details:

• Perform direct patient care and have oversight of overall clinical radiation oncology patient care
• Participate in weekly new case reviews with Hershey Medical Center and St. Joseph Medical Center
• Collaborate on overall care of PSH cancer patients
• Specific coverage needed for September 2-5, September 29-October 3, December 22-26 (closed December 25), and December 29-January 2 (closed January 1)
• Work hours are 7:30am-4:00pm
• Experience with Cerner and/or ARIA systems preferred
• Average of 20 patient encounters per shift
• Required skills include experience with vascular/endovascular brachytherapy, linear accelerator (including Rapid Arc/VMAT and electrons), tomotherapy, and various radiation therapy techniques
• Proficiency required in conventional/conformal therapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS (including Cyber knife and Gamma knife), and hyper altered fractionation
• Treatment planning experience needed in conventional planning, beam shaping, 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT/MRI Image Fusion, Electronic Portal Imaging, and clinical trials
• BLS certification required
