The Occupational Therapy Team Lead provides leadership and supervision within the therapy team, ensuring effective day-to-day operations. This role involves overseeing staffing, scheduling, and training while maintaining open communication with hospital departments to meet patient and staff needs. The Team Lead also contributes to patient care in the licensed discipline for a significant portion of their work hours. Key responsibilities include creating an environment that aligns with the hospital's mission, motivating staff to improve performance, and ensuring the department operates efficiently. The Team Lead also aids in staff development and mentoring, contributing to continuous improvement within the department. Qualifications Current State license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist BLS (CPR) certification required Minimum of 3 years of discipline-specific or leadership experience, with at least 2 years in a clinical role Proficiency with general office equipment and Microsoft Office software Physical Requirements Visual acuity, speech recognition, and ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing at least 30 pounds Skills and Abilities Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills Ability to work independently and make decisions in a detail-oriented manner Environmental Conditions Indoor, temperature-controlled environment with occasional outdoor exposure Potential exposure to blood and body fluids Proficiency or Productivity Standards Reliable attendance, adherence to dress code and standards of business conduct May be required to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Supports cultural diversity within the work environment
