Position Summary: The Occupational Therapist (OT) will develop, improve, or restore skills in activities of daily living, work or productive activities for patients. The OT will be responsible for evaluation data, identifying diagnosis, and developing a comprehensive plan of care. The OT will develop and update appropriate plan of care with the context of the patient's age, total needs perspective and environment in mind. The OT will select and administer appropriate assessment and treatment techniques, follow intervention protocols and revise interventions appropriately, establish for continuing services/follow up as needed, and discharge patient when goals have been met or medical necessity is no longer indicated. The OT will initiate patient and family education in a timely manner, utilize appropriate methods and materials for effective learning, monitoring response to education, and adapting program appropriately, document patient care timely manner with documentation being concise, and pertinent. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required. Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy preferred. Experience: Two year’s previous Occupational Therapist experience preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of South Carolina in good standing required. Special Skills: Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, physicians, and department heads required. Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required. Strong organizational skills required. Strong PC skills required. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to consistently exercise independent judgment required.
