Alaris Health at Cedar Grove - Alaris Health at Cedar Grov, a 217 bed-skilled nursing Center in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, seeks an occupational therapist to organize and conduct occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation. Additional responsibilities include:

evaluating residents, developing appropriate treatment goals and methods for them and implementing the occupational therapy treatment plan

completing all related documentation and record keeping

designing and fitting adaptive devices and training residents how to use them

selecting appropriate activities suited to each individual’s physical and mental capacity, intelligence level and interest

consulting with other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate activity program consistent with each resident’s needs and capabilities

instructing residents in the skills and techniques required for participation in activities and evaluates resident progress, attitudes and behavior as related to their rehabilitative potential

conducting training programs and participating in training medical, nursing and other personnel in occupational therapy techniques and objectives

and above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the American Occupational Therapy Association and certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association under its requirements

Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of New Jersey

Registered and/or eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
