The Nurse Practitioner Behavioral Health (PMHNP) at Children’s Nebraska provides comprehensive pediatric behavioral health care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions in children and adolescents. This role involves clinical leadership, collaboration with healthcare professionals, education of patients and caregivers, and participation in research and quality improvement initiatives. The position is full-time night shifts and requires advanced practice nursing licensure and certification in psychiatric-mental health nursing.

Schedule: Full Time, 3-12 hours nights, 7p-7:30a

A Brief Overview
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive care for pediatric patients through direct medical/nursing care to include: health promotion, health supervision, illness prevention and diagnosis, treatment and management of various health problems and conditions. The APRN/NP is a clinical expert, mentor and educator, leader, collaborator, and researcher. On-call responsibilities vary depending upon the clinic assignment.
