Position Overview Phaxis Education is partnering with Creative Minds International Public Charter School in Northwest DC to fill a School Counselor or Social Worker position for the fall semester. The school is known for its inclusive practices, diverse student body, and leadership that values whole-child wellness. This is a full-time FMLA coverage role starting August 25, 2025, through December, with strong potential to extend. The hourly rate is $40$50+ depending on experience.   • Provide individual and group counseling to students in both general education and special education settings
  • Deliver SEL interventions in inclusion classrooms
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Participate in IEP and 504 plan development and implementation
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation per district standards
  • Contribute to a school culture that supports wellness, diversity, and inclusion

What You Bring

  • Masters degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (required)
  • Active or eligible DC certification/licensure as a school counselor or social worker (preferred)
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric counseling settings (preferred)
  • Ability to build rapport with a diverse student population and staff
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in the U.S. Without sponsorship (preferred)
