Join our Team as a Network Systems Administrator! We are looking for a skilled Network Systems Administrator to support a variety of essential technologies. Key Responsibilities: Support core technologies including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Windows Servers, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco UCS, PaloAlto, Citrix, Office 365, IBM servers, and storage. Collaborate with IT, management, and consultants to design and implement IT solutions that align with business objectives. Analyze, recommend, and evaluate new technologies for network compatibility and effectiveness. Assist in designing, deploying, and maintaining corporate LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, as well as servers, routers, and switches. Help plan and implement security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Test new technologies in a zero-impact lab environment before deploying. Troubleshoot incoming connectivity issues and respond to network outages in line with business continuity procedures. Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on local and wide area networks. Create and implement disaster recovery plans for operating systems and networks. Assist with vendor selection and contract monitoring. Participate in the development of system standards, project goals, and strategic directions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network hardware, configurations, and service records. Develop a library of technical documentation and ensure compliance controls. Stay current with industry developments through reading and attending seminars. Support colleagues in troubleshooting and installing data communication equipment. Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 operations support. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent technical experience in systems, networking, security, and communications. Minimum of 2 years of relevant hands-on experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Frequent lifting of 5 to 20 pounds. This position is based in Springfield, Massachusetts, where employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise and other industrial conditions.
