Summary:
Under the general direction of the Clinic Director with the clinical supervision of the Radiologist at each site on the mobile route, performs examinations of patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness
We are open to offering full-time or part-time depending on availability.
Salary range: $45.00-50.00/hour DOE
Responsibilities
Performs MRI imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of California Proton Therapy Center.
Completes and signs Patient Screening form and explains the procedure to the patient.
Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the table and during the exam
Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs
Under guidance and approval of imaging orders, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols
Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures
Maintains current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed
Provide images to the facility in the desired site format
Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members
Maintains a clean environment
Completes necessary administrative tasks. ie: time reports, billing, QA, etc
Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality
Complies with all safety policies and regulations
Assist and/or placement of IV’s on all imaging patients
Assist CT and CT/PET staff with procedure
Orders and maintains needed stock
Assist imaging staff in calling and reviewing procedure date, time and prep instructions
Assist in coverage on the treatment side in special circumstances
Performs additional duties as required.

Requirements: Valid MRI license such as ARRT or ARMRIT
Must have a venipuncture certificate
Graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program
High School graduate or equivalent
