About the Job:
The Mine Operations and Mobile Maintenance Manager is responsible for all production and maintenance activities for mining and Mobile Maintenance at Rochester Mine. As a member of the senior management team, this individual must demonstrate the highest of leadership behaviors including respect for others and honesty at all times. The Mine Operations and Mobile Maintenance Manager is expected to meet or exceed all budgeted production, safety and environmental compliance objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Establish clear plans to deliver safe results on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis
- Respond with urgency to safety incidents and/or production interruptions
- Generate alignment on KPIs driven down to appropriate levels
- Create positive enthusiasm and culture of continuous improvement
- Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate effectively in multiple ways with direct reports, senior staff, and corporate personnel
- Coordinate with senior level technical and support function leadership at the corporate level
- Incorporate input into developing site strategies and goals
- Organize external assistance from consultants as needed to resolve site issues
- Provide site support and guidance as it pertains to Coeur’s strategic initiatives
- Act as site representative in absence of the General Manager
- Engage positively with members and leaders of the community
- Establish appropriate business relationships that support strategic initiatives
- Interact with governmental agencies to educate and align on long term strategy
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- B.S. degree in mining, metallurgy, geology, engineering or related discipline
- MBA or Master’s degree is desirable
- 15+ years of experience in roles of progressively greater responsibility
- Possess strong communication, written, verbal and presentation skills
- Able to interact effectively with all levels of site and corporate employees
- Proven team leadership qualities including building trust, respect, and confidence of coworkers and staff
- Able to consider issues, identify alternatives, and choose/implement solutions
