Position Overview:
The Engineering Manager leads and manages a team of engineers focused on the design, development, and launch of innovative flow measurement and environmental sensor products. This role is responsible for ensuring all aspects of product development are aligned with strategic business objectives, from concept through production. The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with strong leadership and project management skills, driving both innovation and efficiency within the team to deliver high-quality, competitive products. The Engineering Manager is a member of the Seametrics Management team responsible for the overall strategic direction and culture for the company.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Execute product development processes that align with company strategic goals
Lead product development teams, ensuring project schedules and budgets are established and maintained
Mentor and develop engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability
Ensure that staff development and evaluation plans are implemented to maximize employee potential including accountability and appropriate training and counseling plans.
Conduct performance reviews per company policy
Project management oversight using established phase gate product development system
Monitor project schedules and resource allocation and prioritization
Guide technical decisions on architecture and design
Drive design for manufacturability and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Report project status to executive leadership
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
10+ years product development experience
Project management and budgeting experience
3+ years engineering department managerial experience
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with magmeter flow measurement products
Experience with environmental sensor measurement products
Experience with engineering design tools, Solidworks, Altium
