JOB SUMMARY: We are searching for a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to join our Team! This individual will design and create machine and machine component models using modern computer-aided software. Position reports directly to the Engineering Manager while supporting the Operations and Sales Teams. This role will be able to take advantage of a senior Team in place for training and support. The following list comprises the major tasks of this teammate. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Designs and models mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods utilizing 3D CAD software. Produces working drawings from models for manufacturing departments. Creates material lists related to machine and component designs. Modifies and revises designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties. Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements. Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components. Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes. Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.

DESIRED SKILLS: Minimum two years on-the-job experience with computer-aided design software Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Microsoft Office. Schooling or coursework pertaining to CAD systems. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field a plus. Mechanical engineering background and knowledge preferred. Strong numerical and mathematics skillset. Attention to detail and time management. Good verbal communication; able to work with others. Critical thinking and reasoning skills.
