Provide consistent, reliable and accurate vehicle repair recommendations.--Perform complex and in-depth repairs with confidence and proficiency on all ----------vehicle systems, such as timing belts, head gaskets, intake manifolds, major and minor component replacements on vehicle A/C, ignition, electrical, emissions, exhaust, heating, cooling, engine, drive train, and all other vehicle systems.--Perform any mechanical repair on vehicles in the "A," "B," and "C" skill ranges as specified by the All-Data resource guide.--Inspect vehicles using inspection forms, report potential repairs to supervisor, compile repair estimates, and secure customer approval to perform repairs.Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks.--Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to; rim clamp machine, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks, and parts washer.Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs.--Reset TPMS when needed.--Inspect tread depth, air pressure, and carcass for defects, for every tire that comes through, and recommend corrective action.Mentor other techs when possible.--Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks. --Perform general housekeeping duties.Performing other duties as assigned.--What boxes you have to check:----------------Mechanic Requirements:Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group.Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.Minimum Job Requirements:Assertiveness- Ability to act in a self-confident manner to promote completion of a project or convey an idea.Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.Customer-Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.Delegating Responsibility - Ability to allocate authority and/or task responsibility to appropriate people.Honesty/ Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.Leadership - Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and be responsible for making decisions.Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.Problem-Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.Resource Management (People & Equipment) - Ability to obtain and appropriate the proper usage of equipment, facilities, materials, and personnel.Team Builder - Ability to convince a group of people to work toward a goal.Working under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks in stressful situations.Preventative maintenance experience required.Brakes experience required.Suspension experience required.Physical Demands / Work Environment:--Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.--Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.Repetitive motion.--Sustained vibrations.--Standing for extended periods of time.--Read ticket and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation.--Environment: Work in environment that is not climate controlled.
