Material Handler

Material Handler I

  • Operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials within the facility
  • Inspect the forklifts daily and follow defined procedures and practices
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively
  • Know the basic functions of the ERP system

Material Handler II

  • All Material Handler I responsibilities
  • One to two years' experience in material handling
  • Cross-trained in multiple operations
  • Can train other employees on established processes

Material Handler III

  • All Material Handler I & II requirements
  • Two years' experience in material handling and are forklift certified
  • Experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.)
  • Can effectively train other employees on work instructions
  • Experience using SAP or an equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics 365)

Other Skills

  • Material Handler I & II: Can actively solve problems
  • Display attention to detail and accuracy
  • Material Handler III: Experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.)
  • Can effectively train other employees on work instructions
  • Experience using SAP or an equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics 365)
