Warehouse Team Lead - Full Time - North East, Maryland Building a great career never tasted so good! We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Full-Time Warehouse Team Lead position, joining our North East, Maryland team. Hourly rate: Starting at $24.25/hour + shift differential! Schedule: Sunday to Thursday Shift: 9:00pm-6:00am Additional hours may be required due to business demands. Opportunity for overtime pay; any hours worked over 40. Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day: Responsible for the training and follow up for all new employees with a "can do" team approach. Develop a 1st class customer service mentality, focusing on safety, a quality operation, accuracy in stocking incoming product and outgoing trailer loads and creating and maintaining a safe work environment. Prepare warehouse employees for advancement to other positions within the warehouse. Assist the warehouse manager with the smooth operation of the shift while completing all scheduled tasks. Have knowledge of and the ability to operate the accusort system for the warehouse from printing the incoming loads through assigning picking the orders and closing loads. Ensure all employees make safety the priority by having safety conversations and demonstrating through actions his/her commitment to safety, as well as SQF training and requirements. Understands and takes appropriate action to insure products coming into and going out of the warehouse are appropriately accounted for, for inventory purposes. Assure that methods used are consistent with methods used during other shifts. Perform advanced training to improve load quality and accuracy. Maintain equipment and fine-tuning of machines. Supervisory responsibilities: Directly supervises a range from four (4) to fifteen (15) employees, including temporary staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. What you need to get started: Must complete a background and pre-employment drug screen. As well as a preplacement screening which tests the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position. Job requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a stable work history with good references. Prior forklift or warehouse experience is preferred. Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English. Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat and occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, and fumes or airborne particles.
