Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.comThe Group Manager, Commercial Banking Mid-Market is a seasoned professional responsible for relationship management for commercial banking clients which require in-depth relationship coverage and customized financial solutions.What You’ll Be Doing .Leadership: Leads skills and technical expertise to originate new premier clients and new opportunities with existing clients, conducting needs assessment and relationship reviews, proactively identifying and anticipating opportunities and risks, and developing financial solutions to meet those needs.Business Development: The role exercises a high degree of independent judgement to work with product partners and develop account development plans and objectives for each premier client, proactively sourcing solutions and products.Client Support: Supports clients’ planning processes where appropriate, interpreting business plans, forecasting and modeling to make recommendations and provide advice on expansion, divestiture, mergers, and entry into foreign markets.Drive Innovation: drive ideas and innovation across areas of responsibility, applying expert interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Compliance: As a manager of people, this job must ensure all employees within the business unit comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls.Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.Who You Are:Preferred Formal Education: Bachelor's DegreeMinimum years of experience: 5-10As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.As a manager of people, this job has the authority to assign tasks to employees within their span of control, select individuals for hire, assess individual performance, make employee compensation decisions and take disciplinary measures up to and including termination.Role drives innovation across areas of responsibility, applying expert interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skillsLeadership skills and technical expertise to originate new premier clients and new opportunities with existing clients, conducting needs assessment and relationship reviews, proactively identifying and anticipating opportunities and risks, and developing financial solutions to meet those needs.California residents — your privacy rights regarding your actual or prospective employmentAt CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
