Department: Mental Health Services Integrative Medicine
Hours: 24.00 per week
Position Summary
Responsible for monitoring the daily, clinical operations to ensure the highest quality behavioral health care services are available. Supervise clinicians and programs ensuring the adequacy of clinical tools and materials. The Integrative Medicine Manager is responsible for direct patient care services to medically complex patient populations. The manager also serves to educate and collaborate with medical and specialty providers on the management of mental health disorders. Collaborates on developing service lines and operational processes to foster program growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Under limited supervision.
Supervise clinical staff and ensure fidelity to program models
Manage day to day patient operations
Prioritize patient and staff satisfaction
Assist staff with urgent clinical situations
Maintain staff work schedule ensuring adequate coverage including staff vacancies/call outs ensuring patient care.
Hire and coordinate the training and onboarding of new staff members.
Perform annual performance reviews and provide constructive feedback on a regular basis
Lead efforts to create, identify, and respond to new opportunities for innovative projects and partnerships, with an emphasis on strategically increasing the Program’s impact , sustainability and visibility.
Coordinates projects and multiple tasks to meet goals, budgets and timelines: involves others in determining project scope and establishing realistic plans; procures necessary resources to accomplish project tasks
Develops program goals and objectives, in alignment with the strategic priorities of the organization in collaboration with service leadership.
Works with program leadership to develop and implement a communication strategy aligned with program mission and vision
Interacts with key departments to ensure program visibility and influence to medical and specialty practices to address health disparities throughout the MH System.
Design and plan core service elements and ensure implementation of program activities, including successful delivery of services.
In conjunction with program leadership, develop and maintain protocols, policies and procedures for the program.
Stay informed of current issues relevant to the program areas and provide expertise in these areas to staff and patients.
Track, report and participate in quality improvement activities to improve program related operational, fiscal and clinical performance.
Create, nurture and maintain working relationships with the program staff and collaborative members.
Schedule, convene and coordinate all program related meetings and attend meetings scheduled by our collaborative team, grant funders and external peer groups.
As relevant to the projects/programs, oversee and manage the implementation of research studies: Prepare institutional review board (IRB) applications for the approval of our research studies to be conducted in collaboration with our collaborative team.
Prepare and present program and fiscal progress reports
Develop,coordinate, monitor and evaluate the work plan and outcomes for successful project implementation.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed independent practitioner, licensed in the State of CT
Excellent communication and people
Experience in clinical supervision
Extremely organized and detail oriented
Proficiency in computer and information systems
Preferred Qualifications Experience in matrix management environment
Experience working with care management reimbursement codes
Experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic
